How to shorten a zipper
Shortening a zipper is really easy, it means you can cut down a longer zip to fit your project or use by the yard zipper tape
All you do is make a mark on the zipper tape by the measurement you wish to shorten your zip e.g 2 inches away from the stopper end if you wish to shorten a 10" zipper to an 8" and then to create a new zipper stop, to prevent your zipper pull accidentally coming off, just sew backwards and forwards a few times on the line, either on your sewing machine or by hand using a whipping stitch, then cut off the excess tape and voila, your zipper is now ready to use !
