Foam Interfacing

Foam interfacing gives your bag making project structure, it will stand up on it's own yet feel soft and squidgy to the touch. It comes in two styles, sew in foam interfacing, attached by sewing it to your bag making pattern pieces within the seam allowance or fusible foam interfacing which is ironed on to the reverse of your pattern pieces

Whichever foam interfacing you use, Bobbin Girl suggests ironing woven interfacing to all your exterior pattern pieces first before adding the foam, this reduces wrinkles which often form during the final stage of making a bag, turning the bag right side out, often referred to as birthing the bag
